The boys and girls golf tournament took place last week at the OMNI Tucson National Golf Course.
The Ironwood Ridge girls squad was the highest finisher from northwest Tucson, placing second overall, while Catalina Foothills finished fifth overall in the Division II girls bracket and Canyon del Oro placed 11th overall.
Catalina Foothills girls golfer Mala Benita was the highest finisher in either tournament, finishing second overall in the DII girls bracket, shooting an even-par round of 73.
Ironwood Ridge girls golfers Raina Ports, Allison Acosta and Hannah Ports finished fourth and 14th overall in the tournament, shooting rounds of 75, 81 and 81.
CDO’s Celia Schrecker was the highest-finishing Dorado in the girls tournament, finishing 25th overall with a 12-over-par round of 85.
The boys side saw Ironwood Ridge finish 10th overall, with Catalina Foothills finishing 12th overall.
Connor Wierman of Ironwood Ridge was the highest finisher individually, placing in a tie for 18th overall in the two-day DII boys tournament, with two rounds of 72.
Teammate Jarrod Johnson also finished in a tie for 18th in the event, firing the same scores in each round for the Nighthawks.
Adam Mamula and Jacob Goode of Catalina Foothills were the next highest finishers, with the two finishing in a tie for 37th overall, shooting rounds of 77 in each round.
