The youth rugby league runs for five weeks, beginning Sept. 16. Registration runs until Sept. 1. 

Engage, a local nonprofit, hosted a free BBQ social on Saturday, Aug. 18 at Reid Park introducing the organization’s use of non-tackle rugby to build communities. Engage will run a free co-ed touch rugby league this fall for children ages 6-18.

The youth rugby league runs for seven weeks, beginning Sept. 16. Registration is free and runs until Sept. 1. 

Engage President and Founder Matt Schmidt started the nonprofit this year with his mission of "putting kids in position to achieve." 

Schmidt’s foundation seeks to provide new opportunities that are safe and free so that players can learn important life skills while making new friends.
