Part of Arizona Game & Fish Department Game Management Unit 37A will be closed to javelina hunting from Feb. 18-27 as a safety precaution during the World Golf Championship — Accenture Match Play at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Dove Mountain.

The area to be closed is roughly bounded by Tangerine Road, Cochise Canyon Trail Road, the Central Arizona Project canal and Dove Mountain.

Concerns related to crowd control and the large number of tournament spectators nearby make the area unsuitable for javelina hunting during the tournament, Game and Fish officials said.
