October is Fall Car Care month.  Time to make sure your vehicle is ready for the cooler temperatures and to discover what problems our high temperatures may have created during the long, hot summer months.

Time to schedule a maintenance service and courtesy check to be sure hoses, belts, fluids, and tire pressures are ready for the coming months.  Regular services maintain your car’s efficiency and fuel economy.  Even if your car’s manufacturer suggests oil changes at 5,000 mile intervals or more, there are other parts of your car that need more frequent checks.  After our summer months, hoses and belts may be dry and cracking and fluid levels and tire pressures may not be at factory specifications.  You rely on your vehicle, and it relies on you to keep it in good condition.

Hardin Brothers prides itself on its designation as a Green facility meaning we store and dispose of liquids and chemicals in accordance with state “Green” standards.  If you are a do-it-yourselfer, remember to dispose of filters, oil, batteries and other fluids properly.
