Truly, this man's best friend
Randy Metcalf/The Explorer, John Cieslinski relaxes in his Northwest home with his 3-year-old dog Pepper. Through the program Top Dog, Pepper was trained to help Cieslinski with chores through his daily life where some of his actions are hindered by multiple sclerosis.

Marana resident John Cieslinski has multiple sclerosis, and it makes his life difficult.

Fortunately, he’s got a partner. Pepper, a Rottwieler-German Shepherd mix, has a good disposition, brains and the ability to help John around the house, helping to pluck items from the clothes dryer, and even helping John get up when he needs help.

John and Pepper completed a 12-week course through Top Dog, a Tucson non-profit.
