Marana will be the place to see and be seen when the Marana Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual spring business expo on Saturday, April 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of the Sunflower Farmers Market, 3860 W. River Road.

“It’s a great way to meet local businesses and for local businesspeople to meet one-on-one with the public,” said event coordinator Kathy Price. “It provides businesses with the ideal opportunity to promote what they do.”

About 20 vendors are expected to have booths this year. They include Bank of the West, Bubby’s Chicago Style, Canyon Community Bank, Cortaro Farms Pet Hospital, e-Media Services, Flooring America, Heads Above, Integrative Medical Associates, Integrity Automotive, Isagenix Independent Associates, Marana Chamber of Commerce, Spectrum Ina Road and TnT Promotions.

The hours of operation were selected to coordinate with Sunflower Farmers Market’s highest customer traffic hours.

Some space is still available, said Price. Vendors do not have to be located in Marana to participate. Price also can help businesses share a table with another vendor.

“I know the economy has been tough on some of our businesses so this is a good way to get exposure at a low cost,” she said. “People like to do business with people they know. You can’t do everything over the phone or by email. You always go to the person who gave you a good experience.”
