Eerie Hike of the Tortolitas on Oct. 16

Just in time for Halloween, the Marana Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a free Eerie Hike of the Tortolita Mountains on Oct. 16.

In the spirit of the season, enjoy a self-guided 3-mile hike in Wild Burro Wash. The hike goes through a sand wash with minimal elevation gain and features flora and rock formations including coffin rock and the line shack.

Hikers can start at 4:30 p.m. and must be back by 8:30 p.m. The hike should last about an hour. The path starts at the Wild Burro Trailhead on the grounds of the Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain.
