Governor Jan Brewer has announced staff changes among her education policy team.

Dale Frost, who currently serves as Governor Brewer’s Education Policy Advisor, has been promoted to Director of the Governor’s Office of Education Innovation. In this role, Mr. Frost will advance the governor’s efforts to implement the state’s education reform plan, working to ensure all Arizona students are prepared for success in college and careers upon graduation. He also will work collaboratively with the Arizona Ready Education Council to improve K-12 and higher education statewide. Mr. Frost will also maintain his position as the governor’s Education Policy Advisor.

“Dale is an instrumental part of my administration, and so I’m pleased that he will continue to advance our education agenda in this new role,” said Governor Brewer. “His keen familiarity with education policy, strong grasp of budget-related issues and unmatched passion for improving Arizona education will be a tremendous asset to the Office of Education Innovation. I look forward to great work he will continue to do on behalf our schools and our students.”

Mr. Frost replaces departing Director Rebecca Gau, who has accepted a position with Stand for Children, an education advocacy organization whose mission is to ensure all children graduate high school with the preparedness and opportunity to receive a college education.

As Director of Education Innovation, Rebecca has been integral in advancing one of the highest priorities of my administration,” said Governor. “I am immensely grateful for her key role in the development and implementation of our “Arizona Ready” education reform plan, and I am certain she will continue to be a strong advocate for Arizona children and schools.”
