Two men arrested after body found on Redington Road

On Wednesday Pima County Sheriff's Deputies from the Rincon District responded to Redington Road reference a report of a possible suicide near mile marker eight.

While en route, deputies were advised that a person driving in that area was flagged down by an unknown male, later identified as 31-year-old Richard Radvansky.

Mr. Radvansky told the driver that his friend committed suicide and asked him to call the police.

When deputies arrived, they found the body of a deceased 28-yearold female, identified as Melissa Sparks, on the side of the road. Deputies spoke to Mr. Radvansky about the incident and learned there was another person involved, identified as 27-year-old Jesse Ray Simonsen. Deputies located Mr. Simonsen a few miles down Redington Road and detained him.

Homicide detectives were requested and responded to the scene.

When the Homicide Unit arrived, they questioned the two subjects who admitted being with the woman earlier.

After the interviews were completed, Mr. Radvansky and Mr. Simonsen were booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Center on one count of Manslaughter each.
