Marana Sunset

The Marana Chamber of Commerce is proud to be celebrating our 30-year anniversary along with our community partner, the Town of Marana’s 40-year anniversary. We are looking forward to advancing our mission as the voice of business that works to build economic growth and quality of life in our community for many years to come.

Mark Mittelstadt, a longtime news and nonprofit executive with the Associated Press, has joined the Marana Chamber of Commerce as event coordinator.

Mittelstadt is responsible for organizing and executing our group’s meetings, including the annual golf tournament, membership meeting and State of the Town Address and Luncheon. He will work closely with President/CEO Ed Stolmaker and the rest of the chamber staff to strengthen the group’s core resources and to develop new initiatives.

“I’m excited to move into this new position,” Mittelstadt said. “I learned early on as an AP news editor and then as a bureau chief the vital role meetings and events can play in connections and conveying a message.”

We are excited to participate in the Town of Marana’s State of the Town as they continue their 40-year celebration, April 14 at the Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain. For more information contact Mark Mittelstadt at

On February 8, the Town of Marana and the Marana Chamber completed a Business Walk visiting the 198 businesses affected by the I-10 Exit at Ina closure. The results of the survey taken during the Ina Road Business Walk were:

“Overall, business owners think the construction at I-10 and Ina Road is positive for the Marana community…Business owners are well-informed about the assistance available to them from the Town of Marana, the Marana Chamber of Commerce, and Main Street Business Assistance Program. Some have used or plan to use such assistance, and many are appreciative of such efforts.” (Prepared by: LeCroy & Milligan Associates, Inc.)

We encourage all to help support these businesses and remind you to that Ina Road Is Open For Business. The Town of Marana has a free Project Ina app in both Apple and Android format to keep up with all the latest traffic alerts and deals from local businesses using #ProjectIna.

Marana maintains its rapid growth with 73 Single Family housing starts in February and new businesses like Top Golf and the Screamery coming soon.

Thanks to our renewing members for providing the foundation that makes our community great! Remember, you can save money by investing back into your community by shopping locally, driving less and saving time.
