Golder Ranch Fire

On Nov. 8, the Golder Ranch Fire District will honor employees and members of the public for their outstanding service to the organization and the community.  For the first time, this annual event will recognize members of the public help make our community a better place to live.  This year’s recipients are:

Firefighter of the Year –Firefighter Matthew Gordon

Employee of the Year –Alex Barraza

Volunteer of the Year –John Chabot

Community Recognition Award – Catalina Crusaders and Oro Valley Police Department Explorer Advisors

Community Hero Award –Hailey Tellez

Additionally, the following Golder Ranch Fire District personnel will be recognized for meritorious service over the course of the last year:

Merit Awards -Captain Matthew Peru, Paramedic Michael Seegmiller, Paramedic Rene Sanchez, and Paramedic Nathan Mitchell. 

Community leaders from Senator Jeff Flake’s office, the Pima County Board of Supervisors, Town of Oro Valley, Oro Valley Hospital, Northwest Fire District, and Robson Communities plan to attend in congratulating each of the individuals for their outstanding service.
