With the new year already upon us, two local parents are helping families find all they need for their kids at a fraction of retail prices. Just Between Friends of Tucson is getting ready for its upcoming event Jan. 23-25 at the Tucson Convention Center. This event helps families make money by “turning holiday clutter into cash.”  At the same time, families can typically save between 50 and 90 percent on everything they need to raise a family, from maternity to teen.

Families who shop can find great bargains on everything from clothing, toys, electronics, books, baby equipment, furniture and much more. Christmas is the Nations’ largest shopping event of the year, according to the National Retail Federation. With all of those new clothes and toys, Just Between Friends provides a place for parents to turn no longer needed items into cash! Parents looking for things they couldn’t get at Christmas can shop JBF as well where they can find all they need at 50 to 90 percent less than the retail price.

As a consignor at JBF Tucson, families price and tag their own items using an easy online system, and JBF does the rest of the work handling the sales. Consignors earn 65 percent of the sales, 70 percent if they volunteer.  The money at JBF stays in the local community and most goes back into the pockets of local families.  The event begins Jan. 23, and is one you won’t want to miss.

About Just Between Friends

In 1997, Just Between Friends was created in a living room in Tulsa, Okla. when Shannon Wilburn, a mother of two young children, and her friend Daven Tackett hosted a sale with 17 friends as consignors and had gross sales of $2,000.  The sales caught on with families and grew so in 2003, they formed Just Between Friends Franchise Systems, Inc.  Wilburn is now sole owner of Just Between Friends Franchise Systems, Inc., which has 128 franchises in 25 states and is expected to sell more than 25 million in merchandise in 2013. Just Between Friends has been on the Inc. Magazine 5000 list of fastest growing companies the past four years and was named one of Entrepreneur Magazine’s Top 500 Franchises.  In 2012, Just Between Friends was one of only 75 companies to receive the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Blue Ribbon Award.  Just Between Friends Franchise Systems Inc. also received a “Franchisee Satisfaction Award” and was named in the Top 50 franchises by “Franchise Business Review”.  Wilburn’s other achievements include being named the Small Business Administration’s “Women in Business Champion” for Tulsa and was part of the Tulsa Business Journal’s 40 under 40.   JBF has been featured on numerous national television shows including the Today Show, CBS Early Show, ABC News, Good Morning America, CNN, Headline News, Fox News, Inside Edition, CNBC’s The Big Idea and on www.yahoo.com, www.sheknows.com and Disney website www.family.com.
