Marana Little League is a non-profit, recreational sports organization that provides baseball and softball to players aged four through 14 at its home field of Ora Mae Harn Park. The league is expecting roughly 450 youth athletes this spring.

The expense of lights, maintenance, umpires, concession stands, fees and all other necessities can cost, on average, roughly $50,000 a year. Each year, Marana Little League player reach out to the local community and organizations for assistance. One such major fundraiser is the selling of raffle tickets for a prize drawing at the Opening Ceremony on March 30, from 6 to 9 p.m.

The league is also rising funds as part of its “Bucks to Bats” campaign to provide two new bats per team, and is holding a benefit car wash at Culver’s located at 6905 N. Thornydale Road from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 24.
