A new brain health program from Mather LifeWays Institute on Aging is based on all of the lifestyle factors.
The brain health program, called Boost Your Brain & Memory, is an evidence-based program which focuses on the lifestyle factors, and on memory strategies that participants can implement in their daily lives. Designed to be used in a group setting such as a senior living residence or a community center, the program incorporates video segments and instructor-led exercises to guide participants through a comprehensive overview of brain health. Program participants learn practices that can help them live a healthier lifestyle as well as remember things better, be more organized, pay closer attention, and regulate their emotions.
“We realize there are many types of programs and solutions that focus on brain health, but we’ve focused on the research that will show real results, by providing the tools people need to learn what they can do now to help reduce their risk of Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias,” said Cate O’Brien, PhD, Director of Research, Mather LifeWays Institute on Aging.
Mather LifeWays Institute on Aging and Splendido are both part of Mather LifeWays, a unique, non-denominational not-for-profit organization that has served older adults for more than 70 years.
