Who are Marana's top builders? Find out when the Marana Chamber of Commerce presents the 2010 Community and Business Builder of the Year Awards on Thursday, Feb. 17 at the Tower Theaters, 5755 W. Arizona Pavilions Drive.

The reception and food sampling begins at 11:15 am; a video presentation and winners will be announced at noon. Reservations are requested and can be made at www.maranachamber.com. Admission price is $20 per individual.

“The Chamber is interested in building business and community and these awards are a way to recognize those companies that exceed in doing just that,” said Marana Chamber President and CEO Ed Stolmaker. “We are very fortunate to have several companies that contribute to the advancement of education in the community of Marana, and help support other businesses within the community. I encourage you join us for the award ceremony.”

Nominees for 2010 are:

• 1-4 employees: Gabrielle M. Luoma, CPA, PLLC; Green Banana Promotions and Rillito Post Office

• 5-49 employees: Cutters Point Coffee, DeMont Family Swim School, Red Point Development, Spectrum Ina Road Auto Collision, Sunflower Farmers Market and Twin Peaks Veterinary Center

50 or more employees: Saguaro Environmental Services, Vantage West Credit Union and Visiting Angels.

Non-profit nominees are: A.C.M.E. Studio, High Heels For Hope, Marana Heritage Conservancy, Inc., and Rotary Club of Marana.

Rosemont Copper is the presenting sponsor for this year’s awards. Event sponsors are: e-Media Services, Integrity Automotive, Marana Community Correctional Treatment Facility, Prill McGan, State Farm Insurance/Gary Nicholl, Trico and Tucson Turf. 

Food samplings for lunch will be provided by a number of local eateries. They include: Boston’s The Gourmet Pizza, Cattleman’s Café, Chili’s Grill & Bar, Creative Catering Corporation, Cutters Point Coffee, Home Made Simple, Hungry Howie’s Pizza, Native New Yorker, Texas Roadhouse and Tower Theatres.
