Nominations for the 2010 Pinnacle Awards, presented annually by the Northern Pima County Chamber of Commerce, are needed by 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, according to a chamber release.

They'll be presented Tuesday, March 23.

NPCCC Pinnacle Awards celebrate and recognize the contributions of businesses and individuals in the community, the release said. Awards are based on community involvement, achievement and leadership.

Each year, the chamber honors its micro, small, mid-size and large businesses of the year. It also presents its Legacy and Community Leader, awards. There's been an addition of categories for the 2010 awards, to include "new business," "non-profit," "education" and a people's choice award for best business.

The March 23 event begins with a "mini expo" at 10 a.m. at the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador. Registration begins at 11, with the program in the Presidio Ballroom starting at 11:30 a.m.

Nomination forms and requirements are available at www.the-chamber.com. For more information, contact Cecelia Smith at 297-2191 or e-mail her at events@the-chamber.com.
