I live and work in Oro Valley. It's getting a bit harder to play here because it is just beginning to cost way to much. Town Council, the company I work for hasn't given out raises for a few years either, that is one of many budget cuts they decided to make to tighten the belt. But guess what! Nobody pays my medical insurance premium but me! I don't want to pay for the Oro Valley Town Employees insurance. My insurance premiums have gone up substantially, along with gas, food, etc. In the mess this country is in, EVERYONE, needs to give. If you can't find a way to "TIGHTEN THE BELT" people will be forced to spend their money in Tucson. You should never ask the community to do something you won't do or practice yourself. P.S. Raising taxes isn't going to stop the OV from being less "excellent" or providing that excellence to the community. No Pain, No Gain! Apr 21, 2011
The only thing killing this country is the inability of people in power to remember who put them there and exactly what their job is. Everyone has to trim their own personal household budget and our leaders should do the same. Do any of you just throw away money? Are you borrowing so much you will never be able to pay it back? It really no longer matters what party you are with or against anymore, what matters is that they all work for us! We can and should hold the government responsible for their actions, as well as, inaction. It's our money. It's being wasted. And the large corporations, well, they pretty much are doing the same thing the government has been doing. Screwdriver anyone?!?Apr 21, 2011
