Don Boorse/Special to The Explorer, The young Marana High School girls' soccer team, led by sophomore twins Jessie and Nikki Koeppen (left and right), improved from a 2-18 record in 2006 to an 8-8-5 slate, during Tarquin's first shift last year. The coach — who works with CDO Soccer Club — plans to have the girls play fall through spring, mirroring the club atmosphere he says will make them close comrades by next year.
