Omaha extended its lead in the sixth when Anthony Seratelli scored on a wild pitch by former Storm Chaser Sean O'Sullivan. Colon picked up his third RBI of the game in the seventh when he brought home Paulo Orlando on an automatic double to right.

The Padres had two runners thrown out at the plate in the game. The first came in the third inning when Mike Wilson was tagged out trying to score from second base on Daniel Robertson’s single. Yasmani Grandal was also called out attempting to score on a sacrifice fly to center in the fourth.

Chris Dwyer earned his fourth win for Omaha, lasting eight innings and allowing only one run. O’Sullivan lost his third game for Tucson after allowing four runs on eight hits in six innings of work.
