The women’s soccer team shut out its opponents for the second straight game after defeating Cochise College on Tuesday in Douglas 2-0. The Aztecs improved to 3-0 on the season.

Robyn Tolin (Cienega HS) got the Aztecs on the board early with a goal in the 8th minute with an assist from Kathy Fisher (Sahuaro HS). Tolin wasn’t finished as she assisted Ashley Cardenas’ (Tucson Magnet HS) goal in the 37th.

Pima also out-shot Cochise College 13-8 for the game. Erika Heredia (Sabino) had two saves and Rebecca Lamanda (Sabino) finished the last 20 minutes of the game in the net with no saves.

The Aztecs are back home at the West Campus on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. as they host South Mountain Community College.
