The Pima Community College volleyball team (13-9, 4-6 in conference) fell short in its comeback against Phoenix College on Wednesday as it lost in four sets 25-22, 25-19, 23-25, 25-17.
The Aztecs lost the first two games but stormed back to take the third set. Phoenix College opened up a lead and was too much in the fourth and deciding set.
Pima and Phoenix College split the season series. The Aztecs won in five sets in September at the West Campus.
The Aztecs will continue its road trip as they play at No. 13 Scottsdale Community College on Friday at 7 p.m.
