The Pima Community College women’s golf team finished in second place out of six teams on Tuesday in its first tournament of the season at the Legacy Golf Course in Laveen.

The Aztecs finished the two-day tournament with a team score of 719. Mesa Community College took first with 673 and South Mountain Community College closed out in third place with 744.

Josie Trapnell (Mahtomedi HS, MN) finished the tournament in third place for the Aztecs with a 167 (84-83). The top six individual finishers received medalist honors.

The Aztecs will host the next tournament at the Silverbell Golf Course on Feb. 25-26. The teams will tee off at noon.
