Thornydale stays alive

The Thornydale 9-10 Softball All-Stars stayed alive in the state tournament with a 1-0 win on Saturday night.

Thronydale is in the consolation bracket after losing a game earlier in the week, but remains alive after beating the District 13 representative 1-0. They will now face Pnytail GSL on Sunday.

Thornydale lost their first game 4-3 on Wednesday, but beat Red Mountan 30-3 on Friday to stay alive and set ip the game against District 13.

Thornydale cannot lose again in the tournament and would need to win six straight games to win the state title. All games are at Freedom Park on Tucson's Southeast side.
