The Pima Community College men’s golf team finished 9-strokes behind first place Scottsdale Community College and finished fifth for the tournament on Sunday at the Dobson Ranch Golf Course in Mesa. Pima was 1-stroke behind from Mesa Community College, who took fourth.

As a team, the Aztecs finished 2-strokes better from Saturday’s first round to close out the tournament with a 578 (290-288). Joe Courtney finished in seventh place shooting a 4-under par 140 (69-71). Tyler Cooper (Agave HS) shot an even-par 72 on the day and finished even par for the tournament. Austin Stuessel (Ironwood Ridge HS) was 3-strokes better in his second day finishing with a 145 (74-71).

The Aztecs will play its next tournament at the Toka Sticks Golf Course in Phoenix on April 1-2.
