About the event

The Accenture Match Play Championship at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Dove Mountain, is one of four World Golf Championships sanctioned and organized by the operational committee of the International Federation of PGA Tours.

Other tours include the Asian Tour, European Tour, Japan Golf Tour, PGA Tour, PGA Tour of Australasia and Southern Africa Tour. 

The other World Golf Championships include the Cadillac Championship, Bridgestone Invitational and HSBC Champions. 

What is ‘match play’?

Match play means hole-by-hole competition.  Players are awarded scores based on individual holes won, halved or lost. On each hole, the player with the lowest score wins a point.

The tournament is single-elimination.

Players are seeded one through 64 based on their Official World Golf Ranking. The No. 1 seed plays the No. 64 seed, the No. 2 seed plays the No. 63 seed, and so on.

Sunday, Feb. 27   

2 semifinals; first match at approximately 7:15 a.m.
