School may not start until Aug. 8 but members of the Marana Middle School’s Falcons football team have already been working hard this summer, preparing for the upcoming season.

Head football coach Paul Acosta has been drilling players and strengthening their skills.

The summer practice included incoming seventh-graders and returning eighth-graders.

The eighth-grade team opens its season at home on Aug. 28 against Jamboree. Other home games are Sept. 8 at Wilson K-8, Sept. 14 against Amphi, Sept. 29 against Coronado and Oct. 5 against Flowing Wells.
