The Pima Community College cross country teams kicked off their seasons on Saturday at Buffalo Park in Flagstaff.

The women’s team finished fourth out of seven teams and was the top finishing junior college team. Nikki Regalado (Cienega HS) finished the five-kilometer (3.1 mile) race in second place out of 54 runners with a time of 18 minutes, 27 seconds. Sarrah Boughan (Canyon del Oro HS) took 23rd with a time of 20:23 and Col’Bi Nez (Alchesay HS) was 29th at 20:57.

On the men’s side, Anthony Spendlove (Flagstaff HS) finished the eight-kilometer (4.97 miles) race in 11th place with a time of 28:02. The Aztecs didn’t field a scoring team.

The Aztecs will host the Dave Murray Invitational on Sept. 20 at the Randolph Golf Course at 4 p.m.
