Tucson, AZ – The Pima Community College men’s soccer team (2-1, 2-1 in conference) came up short in Prescott on Thursday falling 3-2 in two overtimes against Yavapai College. The Aztecs lost to the Roughriders in the Region I, Division I semifinals last season.

Aldo de Cima (Copper Canyon HS) put the Aztecs ahead early with a goal in the 10th minute. Yavapai responded with a goal to make it 1-1 at halftime. Pima retook the lead at 2-1 with another goal from de Cima at the 59th minute mark but Yavapai tied it once again in the 85th minute. Yavapai won it with a goal in the 105th minute.   

Emmanuel Jimenez (Desert View HS) finished the game with five saves.

The Aztecs will play at South Mountain Community College in Phoenix on Saturday at noon.
