The Aztecs softball season came to end in the championship series at Arizona Western College on Saturday. The Aztecs won their 1st game of the day but lost in the 1st game of the championship series. Pima finished the season with an overall record of 29-30.

#4 Pima beat #2 Eastern Arizona College 8-0 the eliminate them. Celina Martinez (9-12) threw a complete-game shut out giving up 6 hits with 2strikeouts and 1 walks. Alexis Dotson had a 3-run RBI triple in the 7th inning as Pima scored 4 runs in the inning. She finished 4 for 5 with 4 RBIs and 2 runs scored.

The Aztecs had to beat #1 Arizona Western twice to win the tournament but fell in the 1st game 6-0. The Aztecs left 9 runners on base, had 5 hits and 5 errors for the game. Dotson and Stacey Ramirez each went 2 for 3 and Valerie Luera was 1-2. Stephanie Vejar (13-13) gave up 6 runs (4 earned) on 7 hits with 1 strikeout and 1 walk.

Pima eliminated Central AZ on Friday and Eastern AZ on Saturday; two teams that swept them during the regular season.
