The Tucson Padres are partnering with Tucson Values Teachers to provide complimentary tickets to area school teachers on Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11. Teachers can show their school ID at the box office and receive two free box seats to either Friday or Saturday’s game. Both games start at 7:05 pm.

“We have tremendous respect for the hard work and dedication that all teachers show in working with the youth of our community,” said Tucson Padres General Manager Mike Feder. “We are excited to partner with Tucson Values Teachers and give teachers a fun night at the ballpark as our guest.”

“Our teachers work so hard and contribute so much to our community. It’s important to show them how much we appreciate them. We hope we can pack Kino Stadium with as many teachers as possible, and with other baseball fans that support teachers and education across Southern Arizona,” said Katie Rogerson, Director of Marketing and Community Outreach for Tucson Values Teachers.

There will also be a ceremonial first pitch before both Friday and Saturday’s game. Sunni Lopez will throw out the first pitch before the game on Friday, May 10. Lopez is an educator at the Ocotillo Early Learning Center in the Sunnyside Unified School District, was the Tucson Values Teacher/OfficeMax Teacher Excellence Award winner for April, 2013.
