The Pima Community College football team (3-5, 3-5 in conference) could not overcome the New Mexico Military Institute’s scoring barrage from the get-go as the Aztecs fell 51-28 on Saturday in Roswell, NM. It was the final regular season game of the season.

The Aztecs trailed 24-7 after the first quarter and 31-14 at halftime.

Kevionte Alexander (Rincon HS) had two rushing touchdowns for the Aztecs. He scored on a 1-yard run and later on a 5-yard score. Chris Mays caught a 42-yard touchdown pass from Jack Nykaza and Levonte Little John scored on a 60-yard touchdown run.

Mitch Fischer (Ironwood Ridge HS) also had an interception in the game.

The Aztecs finished sixth in the WSFL standings. It will be determined later who the Aztecs will play in the Consolation bracket of the playoffs.
