Ian Poulter finished the final round of the 2010 World Golf Championships — Accenture Match Play Championship victorious, hoisting the Walter Hagen Cup wearing pink slacks and a pink sweater complemented by white shoes, belt and visor for his first victory in the United States.
In 2011, he will open his title defense by allowing fans to choose his apparel for the opening match. The first World Golf Championships event of the 2011 season tees off at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Dove Mountain, in Marana for the third-consecutive year, February 21-27.
In conjunction with IJP Design, the “Dress Ian” Facebook campaign gives fans the ability to select one of three possible outfits for Poulter to wear on Wednesday, Feb. 23, for his first-round match. Area students, graduates and fans of the University of Arizona and Arizona State University will have familiar color schemes to choose from as two of the options incorporate school colors into the outfits.

Ian Poulter, currently No. 11 in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) defeated fellow Englishman Paul Casey, currently No. 8 in the OWGR, 4 and 2, in the 2010 Accenture Match Play Championship final to claim his first World Golf Championships title.
The 2011 Accenture Match Play Championship will feature the top 64 players in the OWGR as of Monday, Feb. 14. Among the notable names who need a strong start to the 2011 season to move inside the top 64 in the OWGR are former world No. 1 Vijay Singh (No. 91), Sergio Garcia (No. 78) and 2005 Accenture Match Play champion David Toms (No. 80).

The Accenture Match Play Championship is one of four World Golf Championships sanctioned and organized by the International Federation of PGA Tours. The other World Golf Championships include the Cadillac Championship in Doral, Fla., the Bridgestone Invitational in Akron, Ohio, and the HSBC Champions in Shanghai, China.
