The Pima Community College women’s golf team improved by 19-strokes in the final day of its tournament at the Dobson Ranch Golf Course on Sunday in Mesa and finished in second place with a 697. Mesa Community College took first at 641.

Josie Trapnell medaled for the third straight tournament finishing in third place among individuals with a score of 163 (85-78). In the previous two tournaments, Trapnell has finished third and second. Abriana Romero (Tucson Magnet HS) finished the tournament with a 7-stroke improvement at 171 (89-82). Shelby Empens (Mountain View HS) closed out the tournament with a 176 (89-87) while Brittney Makar had a 187 (95-92).

The Aztecs will play at the Legend at Arrowhead Golf Course starting on Monday in Cave Creek. They will tee off at noon.
