Pima Community College Aztec Athletics

The Pima Community College women’s soccer team (3-2, 3-2 in conference) took control early in its game against GateWay Community College on Saturday at the Kino North Grandstand.

Larissa Adams (Buena HS) had a hat trick scoring three goals in the Aztecs’ 5-0 win. Ashley Cardenas (Tucson Magnet HS) had a goal of her own and two assists in the game.

Kamree Cady (Sahuaro HS) got the Aztecs on the board with her goal in the 12th minute. Adams scored her first goal in the 23rd minute with an assist from Cardenas. In the 29th minute, Cardenas scored from the right side of the goal to give Pima a 3-0 lead at halftime.

Adams would score the Pima goals in the second half. She scored off a rebound in the 58th minute and used a header to score in the 76th minute with another assist from Cardenas.

The Aztecs had 15 shots on goal and held GateWay to just two shots for the game.

The Aztecs will host Paradise Valley Community College at the Kino North Grandstand on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
