The Tucson Padres have announced they are offering a free season-long pass for all high school baseball and softball players in Tucson. All varsity and junior varsity teams, and their coaches are eligible to receive the free pass.

The Padres play 48 home games between now and August, giving the students a great and free option for summer entertainment.

“We are excited to welcome our local student athletes to Kino Stadium,” said Padres Vice President/General Manager Mike Feder. “We wanted to give local baseball and softball players an opportunity to watch players one step from the Major Leagues. Between our Little League programs, Coca-Cola Little League night on June 4, and our high school baseball and softball offer, we want to be committed to kids who love the game.”

The Tucson Padres representative for the program is Ed Vosberg, the Tucson baseball legend and former Major Leaguer. Vosberg has been in communication with area baseball and softball coaches.

“We encourage all high school baseball and softball players to come out and see how the game is played. I know for me, I grew up watching Triple-A baseball in Tucson. That’s when I realized I wanted to play professional baseball, watching the A’s Triple-A affiliate here in Tucson,” said Vosberg.
