The Pima Community College men’s soccer team (4-1, 4-1 in conference) scored four goals in the first half against GateWay Community College on Saturday at the Kino North Grandstand in its 5-0 win.

The Aztecs got on the board in the 7th minute when Roberto Zatarain (Ironwood Ridge HS) scored with an assist from Alexis Medina (Nogales HS). Medina assisted in the second goal with a cross-pass to Arturo Vega (Salpointe Catholic HS) in the 24th minute. Vega came right back in the 30th with his second goal of the game. Gabriel Gauna (Sahuaro HS) had the assist. Cesar Quintero (Nogales HS) scored the fourth goal of the half with an assist from Garrett Andreatta (Canyon del Oro HS) in the 32nd. Gauna scored Pima’s second half goal in the 72nd.

The Aztecs had 13 shots at the goal and Hector Zambrano (Pueblo HS) had three saves for the game.

The Aztecs will be back at the Kino Grandstand on Tuesday when they host Paradise Valley Community College at 7 p.m.
