Pusch Ridge Lions

For the second year in a row, the Pusch Ridge Lions finished as state champions in track and field.

The Pusch Ridge Lions track team continued to dominate in Division IV. The girls’ team was named state champions for the second consecutive year.

Pusch Ridge led competitors with 75 points, while Tempe finished second with 58.5 points and Scottsdale Preparatory took third place with 54 points.

Leading the Lions’ team was Sarah Macdonald who placed first in the 3,200-meter run and second place in the 800-meter run.

The relay teams also performed well, with the 3,200-meter relay team taking second place in the final competition of the year earlier this month.
