Climate change clarification

The Woodward letter is the fifth letter I have read in the Explorer from mostly Republicans who confuse the issue of global warming.   I believe it is time for the Explorer to publish a letter to explain global warming.  The Republicans focus only on the ambient air surrounding the planet.  Although the air we breathe is getting more toxic, and the weather is getting more erratic, the Republicans still have not got the message.

The place to measure climate change is at the earth’s poles where a few degrees can cause the ice to melt and the glaciers to retreat, sending large icebergs  to raise the level of water everywhere.  Scientists estimate that 90 percent of all species will lose their habitat this century.

In an effort to delay this disaster, the President has directed the Environmental Protection Agency to mandate carbon emissions to 52 percent below 2005 levels by June 2016.  The only problem is that the state legislated in 2010 that they would ignore any EPA attempts to limit carbon emissions.  Unless the state repeals this 2010 law, they will have no say in how the law is carried out.
