The F-35 program has been a contentious one, both here in southern Arizona as well as in Washington. It’s expensive, and has had many problems. I read this week that the F-35 has dropped its first test bomb, and that the program is starting to show signs that the worst is behind it. I certainly hope so. I certainly hope that we have reached a stage where we no longer have to worry about the cost or the noise or the capabilities, and can just focus on giving our nation’s military the best and safest equipment there is.
