There are countless reasons to live in or operate a business in Marana. A growing commercial sector. Beautiful scenery. Award-winning schools. Incredible recreational opportunities. Excellent community events.
More than 40,000 people call Marana home and that number keeps growing. The Town issued more than 700 single family residence permits last year and is on pace to rival that total in 2014. Our community offers the best of urban and rural amenities. How many places have a world-renowned jewel like the Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain just a few miles away from one of the state’s few remaining livestock auction houses?
The Town is capitalizing on its numerous advantages through the new “Your Town” branding effort that was rolled out during the State of the Town Address last month. The crowd of more than 400 business leaders and residents enjoyed a five-minute promotional video highlighting some of the many things that make Marana a great place to live and work. Our Town is the kind of place where people can feel safe, find employment, celebrate history and spend meaningful time with family and friends.
Our communications and marketing team produced the video and an advertising series that first appeared in the PGA Tour Accenture Match Play Championship pairings guide three months ago. The campaign is centered around the lifestyle enjoyed by those of us who live in Marana.
Look for more messages in numerous venues as we continue promoting our community to the region and country. The efforts will be intensified this summer when the Town hires a tourism professional whose job it will be to draw more visitors to Marana and the surrounding region.
Reaction to the new brand has been overwhelmingly positive in person and on social media. People are identifying with the message that Marana is a place anyone can call home. It’s gratifying to see so much community pride and such a strong sense of place. It’s one of the many reasons the Your Town campaign was developed.
More than ever, Marana is a great place to live, work or run a business. Marana is your Town. Marana is my Town. Marana is our Town.
