Jodi Arias

It didn't take long for a jury on Wednesday to conclude that how Mesa resident Travis Alexander died in 2008, was indeed cruel.

Jurors took just over three hours to come to the conclusion after now famed prosecutor Juan Martinez showed how each knife wound, gunshot wound, and cut throat caused Alexander, who was dating Jodi Arias.

Arias has been convicted of first-degree murder, and now that the jury has found the crime to be cruel, they will now hear evidence from the state on why she should be sentenced to death.

The defense is expected to argue why she should be spared a death penalty sentence, which would mean life in prison.
