In the wake of the tornado that left much of Oklahoma City in rubble, the National Weather Service is warning that more threatening weather is possible in major cities such as Kansas City, Chicago, Milwaukee, and Des Moines, where severe thunderstorm warnings have been issued.

A tornado watch was also issued on Tuesday, as clusters of severe storms formed from the Mexico border in Texas, northward to South Dakota and eastward as far as Pittsburgh.
