The man charged with kidnapping and murdering Tennessee nursing student Holly Bobo has pleaded not guilty.
Zachary Rye Adams, 29, was arraigned at the Decatur County courthouse Tuesday after being charged last week by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) with "especially aggravated" kidnapping and first-degree murder of Bobo, who was 20 when she vanished from her home on April 13, 2011.
Investigators searched Adams' home last week after he was arrested in an unrelated aggravated assault case. He has a lengthy rap sheet that includes shooting his mother in the knee and threatening his grandparents, according to court records.
Authorities have not said what kind of evidence was discovered during the search or whether they have recovered any remains.
