Tokens of kindness
Randy Metcalf/The Explorer, Ben's Bells, which symbolize kindness and its power in healing, are given to people who spread kindness within the community on a daily basis in honor of Ben Packard, who passed away when he was 2 years old in 2002. "The kids are going crazy to be kind to each other," said Ben's Bells founder Janette Packard of students trying to get kindness coins. "I am so fortunate my child has become something to so many."
