Grandparents day
Terry Ketron/Special to The Explorer, Grandparents Day at Rattlesnake Ridge Elementary School was coupled with the ceremony to recognize the eighth anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the United States. Part of that recognition was to present cookies and large banners of appreciation signed by the students of the school to public service officers. Students honored Marana Police Officers and Northwest Fire District firefighters who are called upon to risk their lives to save others.
