New training device for firefighters

Terry Ketron/Special to The Explorer, Capt. Mark Day, Golder Ranch Fire District training captain, shows the mobile fire simulator's control booth and its computerized operating panel. The operator can see some of the inside of the trailer and can raise and lower the fire with buttons or joysticks, increasing or decreasing the difficulty and the temperature for the firefighters.
