Tucson Water plans to shut off water service to more than 1,200 customers in the Northwest on Wednesday morning.

The shut-off, from midnight to 6 a.m. Wednesday, is needed to relocate a Tucson Water pipeline.

Road improvements are being undertaken on Magee between Oracle Road and First Avenue. The Town of Oro Valley and Tucson Water are coordinating the work "to minimize the impact on Tucson Water customers in the area," a release said.

Residents living in the affected area have been provided written notification of the shutdown.

Boundaries for the affected areas are roughly Calle Concordia to the north, North First Avenue to the east, West Chapala Drive to the south, and North Northern Avenue to the west; and West Pine Street to the north, North Northern Avenue to the east, West Chapala Drive to the south, and North Wanda Road to the west.
