NW Fire to hold 'Buster Blast' on May 2

Fun for the whole family is guaranteed at Northwest Fire and Rescue District’s 12th-annual Burn Buster Blast, Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside and outside at the Foothills Mall, 7401 N. La Cholla Blvd.

A free jumping castle, miniature train ride, face painting, balloons, and games will keep youngsters busy.

A special 9-1-1 simulator will give them a chance to practice making emergency calls, and the Pima County Sheriff’s Office will fingerprint children free of charge.

Displays by numerous health, safety, and community organizations will offer other valuable information and resources.

A singing firefighter safety show will have all ages laughing, and clowns, and Smokey the Bear and other special guests will entertain inside and out.

Vintage fire engines and modern law enforcement and rescue equipment, including helicopter command centers and ladder trucks, will be on display in the east parking lot of the mall.

Admission and activities are free at Burn Buster Blast.
