Rainfall Saturday night and through much of Sunday solidified – or is it liquefied? — February 2010 as a relatively wet month in the Northwest.

And the first 60 days of the new year have been relatively soaking, with many Pima County Flood Control District measuring stations recording more than 6 inches of rain in January and February.

After the drenching rains Saturday and Sunday, with amounts near or above 1 inch, the National Weather Service predicts a warming trend this week, with some elevated shower chance Sunday. Longer-term forecasts point to Wednesday of next week as the next highest chance for showers.

Meantime, the Sonoran Desert is wearing a coat of green.
