The Marana Rotary Club hosts its 10th annual charity golf tournament on Saturday, May 31, with proceeds to support Habitat for Humanity Tucson and its campaign to help build new homes in Marana.

The golf tournament is being played at Heritage Highlands Country Club.

As of last week, there were 100 players registered, according to chairman Dan Contorno of the Marana Unified School District. “We need to get to 120,” he said.

More sponsors are also welcome. The $1,000 sponsor receives a free foursome of golf.

Habitat for Humanity is in the planning stage for two homes in Marana, Contorno added.

“We are very excited to help with something we can see benefiting local community members so tremendously,” he said. “We plan on getting involved with the building after the tournament.”

Other Rotary tournament committee members are Josh Wright, Jenna Bartlett, Tonya Greenfield and T. Vanhook.
